i just thought i'd take you on a little tour 

of my new favorite place in the whole wide world!! 

it's THE PERFECT CIRCLE CUPCAKERY 

located in Old Towne Orange, CA.

BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S 

(my all time fav movie ever! ) 

and is just TOO CUTE  - 

and the cupcakes are simply 

to-die-for!!! 

this is my daughter cranberrie and my cute hubby 

daniel : ) 

just look how cute the big bench seating is! 

gotta love the "how to be a gentleman"  book! 

my dream girl audrey! 

love it !!

the seating is so fun and comfy! 

i LOVE the black and white theme.... 

and just look at miss sophia! 

and aren't the frames incredible!!

and just look at the little aprons you can buy! 

oh - and don't forget the cupcakes! 

and i love the fact they are always playing the 

movie "breakfast at tiffany's" 

and i think it is sooo cute they serve your cupcakes on 

little silver trays and plastic forks!

my daughter just had spine surgery and this 

was our first big outing in a month! 

she LOVED it!! 

and i love the "happy hours' listed! 

too cute!

some of my favorite things to frame....

hi everyone! 

i just thought i would share with you guys 

some of my favorite things i've framed around my 

house!

why, some of my favorite art work, is really not

such serious artwork afterall.....

my daughter cranberrie drew this for me and my husband 

on our 12th wedding anniversary - 

gosh!  we are about to celebrate our 20th! 

we got married in central park, ny - and 

i think she made some rather cute references.... 

pretty good for a 6 year old, huh? 

another thing i love is my mom's old class picture from her 

3rd grade.

she used to tell me all the stories about each kid and i was 

soooo fascinated! 

this had to be 1944 

in dayton, ohio

there she is - top row, 4th from the left - 

she told me how her father took her to the 

dime store and they picked out her dress for picture day! 

is that sweet or what!

another thing i love to frame is simple children's books! 

some of the artwork is just to die for !

i found this one at a yard sale for 25 cents and 

HAD to have it for my kitchen! 

and in my $3 walmart frame 

hahaha!

it's perfect!

everyone who sees it wants it for their kitchen 

another fav of mine is to frame postcards - 

i just found this one of elvis and just love the expression on his face. 

and i am not even an elvis fan  : ) 

it's on my fridge for now - i am looking for the right frame!

another one of my mom ( i miss her! ) 

this is her only baby picture of her and

i sooo treasure it - 

sure with i had that bassinet today!

when we first bought our house - i went on-line to 

do some research about our new city - and 

found lots of fabulous pics of old buildings from our town

i of course had to print and frame this old one! 

could you just imagine getting ice cream from this one

in 1920!

another thing i love to do is frame cute stuff from magazines! 

i adore this pic of gary allen and thought it was perfect in 

this frame : )

and i saved this old classic gap ad featuring 

andy warhol -

it shows him walking in new york and just says

"andy warhol wore kakis" 

i think it is simple and fabulous at the same time!

and last but not least - i love to frame all the kids photos i get every 

year in christmas cards : ) 

this is my fav of my twin niece and nephew - 

matthew and katherine!

oh...i just wanna pinch their cheeks!

( i think i'll start doing that actually - hahaha! )

do you ever wonder if the ice cream man hears that music in his head at night?

so i don't know about the rest of the country... 

but it has been so nice here lately! 

as a matter of fact - the ice cream man is rather busy

: ) 

since my little girl cranberrie turns 15 today 

( Really!  where does the time go? ) 

i have been having fun memories of her and the

ice cream trucks that we have visited in her little life...

trust me - she hears one and goes runnin'

with me lagging behind with quarters : ) 

here she is about 5 years old - 

i believe she was a ninja turtle popsicle fan then .... 

this is her this summer - 

she loves this one lady who drives a funky van and 

always has her little dog with her ! 

isn't that cute! 

my hubby thinks we should call the health dept. - but 

i am a dog lover - i can't help but love it!

she picked out this popsicle for her daddy - 

i believe she has graduated to choco-tacos now that 

she is all mature....hahaha! 

we really are a popsicle family - 

wanna see my "otter pop" tattoo? 

anyhoooo....

as much as i love the ice cream trucks -

i even entertain the idea of starting a company of 

gourmet fancy-smanchy kind of stuff - 

also with gelato and cupcakes.....

in pink little trucks - 

wouldn't that be fabulous!! 

but i can't help but think  that music has to drive them crazy - 

gosh - 10 minutes of it down my street and i am ready 

to kill myself  ; ) 

i think i'd have to play classical music ....

and the oscar goes to......

oh! 

i just LOVE the academy awards.... 

they really are better than the superbowl! 

superbowl is more beer and hotwings.... 

and the oscars are a total wine and cheese kind of night!

my girlfriend vicki and her daughter presley dress up red carpet 

style every year and just feel fabulous watching them from 

their couch! 

isn't that the cutest idea : ) 

i started saving all our movie tickets years ago.... 

i can't believe how many we have seen! 

and how many bad ones....

we started making a point of seeing them at our local 

cheepie theater now - that way when they suck - 

we don't feel so bad since we only paid $1 to see it! 

still...the best part of all the movies is talking about 

it in the car on the way home !! 

cranberrie is in film school and we end up discussing the entire movie 

for hours!  i love it!  

i am going to a little oscar party tonight at my cute friend 

jean-louise's house ( i love her house...it is SOOO cute! ) 

i found this recipe for banana cupcakes, 

i think i will make them for tonight..... 

isn't finding recipes on-line fun!   i have found some of my favs that way!

i'll let you know how they turn out.... 

i bet they will  be delish with some...

MILK! 

cranberrie says if there is any movie justice - 

sean penn and milk will win everything!

i just saw the last 10 minutes and cried and cried and cried. 

but a good cry : ) 

know what i mean?

my cutie is home sick....

well.... 

my daughter cranberrie called me from school - 

her nurse said to come get her - 

i thought she must have missed some homework 

or just wanted to come home and  watch some trashy 

daytime t.v. with me : ) 

( we love maury and the "you are not the father!" dance ) 

but when i got there - 

her little cheeks were bright red and yes - 

she has a fever

yes - my guilt has set in...

this is my baby at 6 with her monkeys 

and this was my baby two months ago in 

san francisco : ) 

enjoy the time moms - as it flies faster than 

you ever realize! 

well, i think she wants the heating pad on her back 

and maybe a cupcake! 

( you should see the ones my husband made yesterday! )

collecting children's books

oh....

i just love collecting children's books - 

especially the vintage ones i remember reading as a child

syd hoff was always a favorite! 

remember....he also wrote

"danny and the dinosaur" 

but i always loved grizzwold : ) 

when my nephew had a baby - 

i just had to make them this baby quilt!

my son found syd's address on the internet years ago - 

so i wrote to him and sent him my original copy of his book - 

and look ! 

he autographed it just for me : ) 

i soon found out he passed away just a few 

months after he took the time to write me back. 

he was 91 !

i will forever cherish it!

here is a little bookshelf i have at the top of my staircase- 

filled with a few of my favs! 

mary poppins, little black sambo, curious george....

and i flipped when i found this old "nutshell library" 

of old maurice sendak stories.... 

and awwww.....  just look at cranberrie when she was so little!

am i not the luckiest mom in the whole world!

another fav is richard scarry - 

i grew up just reading all his books!

and just look at this little classic - illustrated by richard scarry! 

i am watching this one on ebay --- 

i hope i get it!

happy valentines day !!

hi everyone! 

hope you all have a wonderful valentines day! 

just thought i'd give ya a peek around the house : ) 

here is another one of my sock money creations....

i made this for a friends baby - 

and ended up making one for myself too!

since i am trying to be thrifty...

i made my centerpiece this year out of big twigs 

from my neighbors tree! 

found little heart ornaments half price at michales - 

tied on ribbons a raffia i already had - 

and propped up two monkeys in love. 

i love the way she is leaning on him....

and presto! 

i just love it : )  

total cost.... $ 1.99

one of my previous presents was this painting my 

hubby made for me when my son was little...

a big heart made out of my son's footprints and surrounded 

by my hubby's hand prints : ) 

isn't it sweet!

and i always put out this favorite pic of my mom and dad : ) 

being a child of divorce - i just love it - 

my sister just cracks up and says 

"don't you know they hated each other!" 

i suppose she has a point.....

hahahaha - but i still love it!

and every holiday - i always top my lamps with 

the holiday colors! 

from my ribbon stash... so it's always free and makes the whole house 

look cute! 

and ya gotta love my shiney .99 cent store banner : )

well...i suppose i am going to go have coffee on the porch with 

my valentine of 20 years....

oh!  one more thing i just have to share! 

got my latest issue of country living in the mail yesterday....

and it had the coolest pic interview with dylan 

from the famous "dylan's candy shop" 

and i just fell in love with her little dresses made from 

candy wrappers!  

i soooo want these - aren't they fab!

i thought the candy fit in with my valentines theme too...
